Streaming audio quality for recording streaming audio?

I'm using a streaming audio recorder to record music off of the ePSXe emulator for a friend. It works, but there is a nagging buzzing and crackling sound in the background, no matter what I set the volume to. How can I make the sound clear, free of crackling? Thanks!
