Online IT return acknowledgment?

Hi, Last year I filed my returns online and subsequently I was sent an ITR V2 acknowledgment through email. I want to know if there is something else I need to do or this is sufficient proof that I have filed my returns. Someone was telling me that I need to send a printout of this doent to the IT department here.
