How do you change the starter on a 1993 Mercury Villager?

Place the front end of vehicle on ramps, if not, jack up each side in front and place on Jack Stands.Set emergency brake and block wheels.Disconnect neg cable battery.Ford/Mercury starters usually are held by only two bolts/metric. You will need metric wrenches and or sockets.There may also be a bracket for more support.After dropping starter,remove cable.Replace with new starter or remanufactured in reverse.Easy job.Maybe an hour of labor.
