Leasing/Selling Gelding, how much is he worth?
He sounds like a really good horse. I like the older ones. However, this horse economy is not very good. Normally he'd go for around $1000..but this market, no chance. My advise is to place him in a good home, where they teach riding, etc. Maybe you could barter off a favor: board a horse there for a month or two to use the facilities and supply your own grain. He needs people attention, especially if he drops weight easily. Have his teeth been checked, food fall out of his mouth? The sooner you place him, the better all around. He still has a lot of good years left. Don't try to place him once he gets real thin, then you'll really have a hard time. Good luck.
