How can i tell if my ex-girlfriend still likes me?

My ex broke up with me few months ago sayin she was too busy with school work and had no more time to go out and stuff. It wasnt a harsh break up cos i knew it was coming and she tried hard not to hurt me, i could tell from her expressions. But since then, i feel awkard talking to her like i just cant think of anything to start one when i bump into her at school. Im pretty sure she feels awkward as well. The thing is i still like her but i try not to let her know as i dont wana make it even more awkward, and loose her as a friend as well. I mean if she doesnt like me anymore, i would just be an annoying loser to ask her out again. Is it possible that she is feeling the same and doesnt have the nerve to tell me she still likes me? I mean if she stil does she should be the one to ask, afterall shes the one who broke up not me. She confuses me a lot, even when we were going out, she hides her feelings all the time, one day she would be extremly hyper and crying on another. Another thing that confuses me is right after we broke up, she was the one who started conversations on msn and she even talked about the fun times we had but she nvr said anything about her still liking me. But after like a month or so she kinda stopped, and whenever i talk to her on msn, it can take her 5 minutes to reply each sentence as if she doesnt care anymore. Do girls do that when they are confused? or am i just a pathetic loser that will have to find a way to move on. I know a lot of ppl will just tell me to forget about her, but its nvr as easy as it sounds... im sure u guys know how i feel, its just this thing that keeps telling me how i could be the one, and how perfect we could be together.
