Erasure in birthcertificate?

do i really need to go to the court and spend a big amount of money if my only problem is and erasure or somehow it is double entry in gender because they encoded M and then just cover it with F.. and i requested from the civil registrar for an original copy and it is clearly stated there that i am female... isnt it enough proof that i am female. so i need to see a lawyer for this case which is not really our mistake but the office secretary of the government encoding it.... whew
