My 2002 Cavalier wont start, help!?

My cavalier has been sitting for about two months and I tried started it today and it wouldn't start just clicked. Obviously that's the battery so we took it down to the autozone and had it replaced. With the new battery the car turned but it would not ignite and start up all the way. The fuel filter was just replaced in March so I don't think it's that but we think it may be fuel related because you don't smell fuel fumes or anything even with laying on the gas for 2minutes straight. Was kinda thinking maybe water in the tank too.... any suggestions???
