How do I make my new rabbit like me?

I got a rabbit today, she's 12 months old and she's called Dimple. Our family friend raised her till now so I understand why she's a little scared of a sudden change of environments (because they live on a farm and we live in an urburn area). I also have a dog and the barking my scare her, could that be it? At the farm she usually runs around and then at night they put her in her hutch, but when we let her run around in our really big garden she goes nuts. I chased her for about 10 minutes non stop and she's so scared of me. When I finally caught her I held her tight and patted her, but she still tries to run away, so now she's in her hutch & I dont want her to be so afraid of me. What can I do to make her feel safe and not afraid? Thank you!
